STUDENT BODY: The student body is comprised of students from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. Most students reside in the city of Philadelphia, but students also come from surrounding suburbs and New Jersey.

PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION: The programs at CTCA are founded on biblical precepts and are designed to impart knowledge, refine character and build skills that will aid students in serving God and their fellow man. We believe that Holy Scripture is the foundation of authentic living and learning, and that the Bible furnishes a context of meaning in the search for knowledge and skill. CTCA’s educational environment fosters a sincere love for God, a biblically based worldview and a commitment to take the message of Jesus Christ home and beyond.

STATEMENT OF FAITH: Families from many Christian denominations find that Calvary Temple Christian Academy meets the spiritual needs of their children. While CTCA is affiliated with the Assemblies of God in faith and practice, we emphasize basic Bible doctrines, not the teachings of any specific denomination.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God; that there is one God, eternally existent in three person-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory; in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground o f faith In the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith are we saved; in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation; in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ; in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enable to live a godly life.

FACULTY AND STAFF The faculty and staff are individuals who feel the call of God to serve His kingdom in education. Every member of the faculty and staff are evangelical Christians who come from a variety of denominations. All full-time faculty members teaching in the elementary and middle school grades have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and hold either state private or public school certifications and are certified or awaiting certification from the Association of Christian Schools International.
